CANINE
He’s a set-in-his-ways cowboy in a world that’s always changin’. Long ago, he done his whole family dirty. Now this rough ‘n’ tumblin’, ukulele strummin’, hobo with a heart of gold (and an illegally parked RV) is tryin’ a make things right with his folks.
DARLENE CANINE (85)
The now-widowed matriarch of the Canine family. Her skin’s dry as soil. As such, she’s constantly moisturizing. Darlene exudes an “old Hollywood” glamour about her and evokes General Sherman. The tree, not the man. Darlene’s waited a lifetime for her moment, and not even kin can get in her way…
There’s a whole heck of a lotta Canines. Most of ‘em seem keen to make a quick buck, so when a MOVIE STUDIO offers ‘em cold, hard cash, only Leslie stands up for what’s right.
FAMILY SQUABBLES:
A true, blue Do-It-Herselfer and the ONLY Canine with her life put together. Chey runs a yoga studio in the valley and splits time between her husband and the ranch. She’s Leslie’s only friend in the family, although they haven’t been on speakin’ terms since long as anyone can remember. Her name might rhyme with shy … but SHE sure ain’t!
CHEY CANINE
A regular Marlboro man with a chin like the Rio Grande. Tex’s a gun totin’ future silver fox. But this here fox got the patience of a goldfish ‘n’ the fuse of a stick a TNT. Tex and Leslie are COUSINS who bring out the worst ‘n’ each other and argue over which of ‘em WHITNEY liked best.
